Canelé Copper Cake Mold Set of 2
The set consists of 6 handmade copper Canelé cake moulds.
Canelé is a dessert made with eggs, flour and sugar, produced under restrictions in the French Bordeaux region before the French Revolution. It takes its name from the grooved or corrugated containers in which it is cooked. Its original name, Cannelé, was changed by French Confectioners and recorded as Canelé (Canole). Canelé is also pronounced as Bordeaux. Although it is recommended with wine and Champagne, it is a nice treat especially with tea and coffee. Vanilla and rum were added to the mixture in the 20th century. Its distinguishing feature is its dark and caramelized crispy exterior, but its butter-colored, slightly spongy and soft inner layer.
